June 1–30

June 2026

A more welcoming first course and better Learning Hub insights.

This month at Talkio

June made the start of a learning journey easier. New learners can find a suggested first course, and course cards give more guidance about levels and what to try next. Conversation controls make it simpler to move between speaking and typing, while Egyptian Arabic practice gained pronunciation and guidance tailored to that dialect.

In the Learning Hub, teachers gained a fuller view of student speaking and assessment trends. We continue to improve both sides of the experience: adding guidance that helps learners choose their next step and refining the progress information teachers use to support them.

For learners

An easier first course

New learners can find a suggested first course on their home page and get started without searching through the course list.

Find the right course for your level

Course cards now show recommendations and level information to help you choose what to practice next.

Switch between speaking and typing

Conversation controls are easier to find, so you can move between voice and text practice during a session.

Practice Egyptian Arabic

Egyptian Arabic practice has more natural pronunciation and guidance tailored to the way people speak it.

For Learning Hub teachers

A fuller picture of learning progress

Learning Hub teachers can review trends in students' speaking practice and assessments over time, making it easier to see where support is needed.
